Ringit Networks ("Ringit", "we", "us") operates the vehicle contact system available at ringit.live and shop.ringit.live. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

When you activate a Ringit QR sticker, we collect:

  • The phone number you register as the vehicle owner
  • Optional vehicle details: make, model, colour, registration number
  • The unique QR sticker ID (format RI-XXXXXX)

When someone scans your sticker, we collect from the scanner:

  • The phone number they enter to place the masked call
  • Basic device and connection metadata: device type, browser, operating system, approximate location (city/region), IP address, and internet service provider
  • Timestamp of the scan and any call

2. How we use this information

  • To route the masked phone call between the scanner and the vehicle owner through our telecom partner. Neither party's phone number is shared with the other.
  • To prevent abuse: numbers that are reported or detected as misusing the system may be blocked from placing further calls.
  • To provide aggregate analytics on usage to operate and improve the service.

3. What we never do

  • We never reveal the vehicle owner's phone number to the scanner, or the scanner's phone number to the vehicle owner.
  • We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties.
  • We never use your data to send marketing messages without your consent.

4. Data sharing

We share information only with:

  • Our telecom partner, strictly to connect the call
  • Service providers we use to host the website and store data securely
  • Law enforcement, only if required by a valid Indian legal request

5. Data retention

Call and scan logs are retained for up to 24 months for abuse prevention and analytics, then anonymized or deleted. Account information is retained as long as your sticker is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing rohit@ringit.live.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated stickers, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to rohit@ringit.live to exercise any of these rights.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for site functionality (such as keeping you logged in) and basic analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
